PERSONAL HYGIENE ( A2 – A3 ) I.Objectives : At the end of the lesson ss can be able to listen to a text about routine to revise the past simple tense. 1.Language contents : * Vocabulary: polish, change, drink, get … * Grammar : The past simple tense. 2.Skills: Listening, reading 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids : Lesson plan, text book, poster, picture, flashcards. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook,review the old lesson, preview vocabularies III.Techniques: Rub Out and Remember, Word cue drill, Open prediction IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: 7A:19/1/2018 7AD7B:20/1/2018 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes *Steps: Teacher and Ss’ activities Contents 3.1.Warm -up T: Read aloud. Ss: listen and write the words they hear T: Correct again 3.2.Pre- Listening T: ask some questions . Ss: listen and answer them. T: elicit the new words. Model them Ss: repeat in chorus, individual. T: write them on the BB. Ss: give meaning Copy down T: ask ss to repeat the words loudly in chorus Rub out word by word but leave the circles. Go on until all the circles are empty Ask ss to go to the board and write the words in their correct circles. T: stick the pictures of A 2 on page 100 on the board. Ask ss to guess the right order. 3.3.While Listening :(7’) T: Ask Ss to listen to the tape twice Ss: listen to the passage and check their prediction - Call on some Ss to put the pictures in order they hear - Ask them to compare with the order they guess - Give feedback and correct 3.4.Post Listening - Consolidate some verbs: T: Ask ss practice asking & answering the questions, using word cues and correct T: guide Ss to do homework - Ss listen T: guides Ss to read Nam’s diary - listening, choral & individual repetition by modeling Ss: use Nam’s diary, practice about Nam’s habitual actions in pairs - Ss complete a diary entry like Nam’s - orally, in pair 4.Consolidation(1’) T: Remark and ask ss to make open dialogues. Ss: Listen and try to make. * Dictation;(4’) Dictation: get up, take a shower, have breakfast, brush teeth, wash clothes, drink water, go to school, go to bed A2. Listen. * Setting the scene:(3’) How many people are there in this picture? What is her name? What did she do yesterday? 1. She polished her shoes and put them on. She had her breakfast and then she brushed her teeth. She put a sandwich in her lunch box and a bottle of water in her bag. She went to school. At recess, she ate her sandwich. Then she drank some water and talked with her friends. At home, she changed into red pants and a shirt and put on her sandals. After dinner, she washed and ironed her clothes. Then she did her homework. she brushed her teeth and had a bath.
