NEIGHBORS ( B1- B2 ) I.Objectives : At the end of this period, ss will be able to describe the characteristics of friends or neighbors and practise the past simple tense. 1.Language contents: * Grammar: - Simple past tense, compliment ( review) * Vocabulary: hairdresser, dressmaker, clever, material, neighbors. 2.Skills: Listening, speaking, reding, writing 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids: Color chalk, pictures and sub-board. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook,review the old lesson, preview vocabularies III.Techniques: Ask & answer , pair work, grid , guessing IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? Date of teaching: 7D: …./1/2018 7A, 7B : ……/1/2018 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes *Steps: Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warming up T: ask ss to change the verbs in the present into the past. Give feedback Step 2.Presentation T: ask ss to tell the things they did last night. T: elicit the new words. Model them Ss: repeat in chorus, individual. T: write them on the BB. Ss: give meaning Copy down T: let ss listen to the tape. Ss: listen and complete the grid. T: elicit the model sentences from the grid. Ss: listen and answer the questions with Yes or No. Give the form of the yes/ No question Step 3.Practice T: ask ss to read the dialogue again and answer the questions. T: Have ss to practice reading in pairs. Then practice answering questions Ss: Listen and do as requested. T: Control and correct mistakes. T: ask ss to use the grid to ask and answer in pairs. Ss: work in pairs. Step 4.Further practice T: Remind structure and some verbs in warming up part and ask ss to practice exercises in group and in pairs. Ss: Listen , copy down and do exercises.
