Warm up (3m) Kim’s game: Show a picture to the students , ask them to look at it for about 5 seconds and then write the things in the picture on the board Key: tea , egg, beef, rice, peas……. Step 2. Presentation . 1. Pre teach vocabulary (6’) - T. elicits. - T. models three times. - T. puts the words on the board. - T. checks meaning and pronunciation - egg (n) : quả trứng realia ) - chocolates (n) : sô cô la (realia ) - oil (n) : dầu ăn (realia ) - beef (n): thịt bò (realia ) - soap (n): xà phòng (realia ) - toothpaste (n): kem đánh răng (realia ) - a tube:ống tuýp. Vui : Thank you. 2. Picture Drill : A1 b p.115 (3’) - T. asks Students to run through all the picture cues then practice in pairs. * Example exchange : S1 : Can I help you ? S2 : Yes . A bottle of cooking oil, please. S1 : Here you are. S2 : Thank you. 3. Substitution Drill :(3’) + T says : water , oil , soap , peas , beans , coke , toothpaste , oranges , eggs , tea , noodles. - T. asks Students to say : I’d like a bottle of [water] / [oil] , please. Step 4. Production : Pelmanism (2’) - T. sticks the cards on board - T. asks Students to work in 2 teams and choose the 2 cards to find the correct pairs: a bar of/soap a dozen / egg a tube of/toothpaste 300 grams of/chicken a packet of/tea A bottle of/ water a can of /7 up - Students guess - Students repeat chorally first, then individually. - Students copy - Students work in 2 teams and play the game - Students match - Students give the answer - Students listen to the teacher and repeat - Students practice: Students- Students, open pairs, close pairs - Rewrite the rub words. - Run through all the picture cues. - Practice in pairs : - Open pairs -> close pairs. - Listen the T. - Say out the whole sentences . - Play a game in 2 team. - Students work in pairs to practice - Some pairs act out - Students listen to the teacher and say the full sentence 4.
