( A2 ) I.Objectives: At the end of this period, ss will be able to talk about these activities after school and practice using adverbs of frequency. 1.Language contents: * Grammar: - simple present tense. - Review adverbs of frequency. * Vocabulary: 2.Skills: speaking, listening 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids: Color chalk, pictures and sub-board. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III. Techniques: Slap the board, labeling, matching, pairwork, groupwork. IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7A, 7D : 6/ 11/ 2017 7B: 7/ 11/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes *Steps: Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warming up T: read the words in English. Ss: listen and slap the words in Vietnamese. Step 2. Presentation T: stick the pictures. Ss: look at them carefully and label. T: give feedback. T: First guide ss to do this part and practice using “ How often…………..? and adverbs ” Ss: Listen and practice in pairs. - Then call some pairs of ss to present before class. T: Listen , control and correct mistakes Step 3.Practice T: run through the pictures. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus. T: model the first cue. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in pairs and individual. Do the rest. T: ask ss to make questions from the statements. Step 4. Further practice T: ask ss to open the language focus 2 and write the sentences, using the frequency with the present simple tense 4.Consolidation(3’) - Remark all period . *. Game: “ Slap the board”(5’) Bôi, xem tivi, chôi troø chôi ñieän töû, chôi boùng ñaù, ñi xem phim, vaø ñoïc saùch. A2. Practice with a partner.(8’) a. Look at these activities. Label the pictures. 1. reading/ studying in the library. 2. swimming in the pool. 3. playing computer games. 4.going to a movie. 5.playing soccer. 6. watching TV b. Ask and answer: - Write a sentence for each day of the week. Use these adverbs.(7’) usually- sometimes- often- always- never Ex:- What do usually do after school? - How often do you study in the library after school? - I always study in the library after school. S1: What do you often do after school? S2: I often play table tennis. S1: How often do you play? S2: I sometimes play. 1. Word cue drill:(7’) a. I / usually / go swimming. b. We / always/ play soccer. c. We/ never/ go to school on Sunday. d. She / often/ play tennis. e. They/ sometimes / watch TV. * Example exchange: S1: I usually go swimming. 2. Making questions:(5’) What do you usually do after school? How often do you go swimming? * Write-it-up (5’) Example : Ba never goes to the cafeteria.
