Objectives : At the end of the lesson Ss will be able to : - know to ask about the birthday - practice using the future tense. 1.Language contents: * Grammar : - Review the future tense : S + will + V * Vocabulary: birthday ,nervous, worried, date of birth. 2.Skills: Listening, speaking 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids : Color chalk , and sub-board 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III.Techniques : Practice in pairs, role play, chatting. IV.Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7B: 18/ 9/ 2017 7A: 19/ /9/ 2017 7D: 19/ 9/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words and the newstruture T corrects the mistakes Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warm up - Ask Ss some questions about the months. Ss: Listen and try to answer. Step 2.Presentation - Hang the picture on the board T: ask some questions. T: elicit new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in groups. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning. Copy down Step 3. Pre-listening T: Present the dialogue between Hoa and Mr tuan - Ask ss to guess what Mr Tuan is asking Hoa? Ss: Close these book and guess. Step 4. While-listening T: Read dialogue and give out the meaning some new words. - Practice reading vocabularies and dialogue. Ss: Look copy down and practice reading independent, in pairs. T: Ask ss to practice ‘ask and answer ’ in pairs. Then read aloud before class. Ss: Listen and do as requested. T: Control and correct mistakes. Step 5.Post-listening T: Have ss read the dialogue again and complete the form. - Ss can do independent and then compare with ss’ friends. - Ask ss to practice aloud before class. Ss: Listen and try to do. 4.Consolidation(1’) T: First remark all period ,then ask ss to practice open asking and answering about ss’ birthday * Chatting(6’) 1.In what month do you have Tet holiday? 2. When is the Christmas day? 3. What month has fewest days? 4. What months have 31 days? B4. Listen . Then practice with a partner.(9’) - What is your name? • Pham Thi Hoa - What is your date of birth? • June eight. I’ll be 14 on next birthday. 1. New words:(5’) - birthday: ( explanation ) - nervous : ( translation ) - worried : ( explanation ) - date of birth: ( example ) 2.
