II. PREPARATION: 1. Teacher: lesson plan, pictures, word cards, a stereo, CD 2. Students: review the old lesson, preview vocabularies III. METHOD. Pelmanism, ROR, IV. PROCEDURE: 1. New lesson Sts and T’s activities Time Contents 1. warm up. Sts play a game: slap the board T. put the words on the board. - Divides class into two teams. ( 4 sts each) to the front of the class standing at an equal distance from the black board. - call out one of the words in Vietnamese . - Two sts must run forwards and slap the correct word. The st who slaps first is the winner. - Go on with the next two sts. 2. Presentation T. uses pictures about the seasons in a year and elicit words from sts. Ex: T. hangs the pictures on the board and say: It’s hot Sts read out. And guess the meaning of word: It’s summer. T. asks sts to read out. Then rub out and remember. T. shows the pictures and asks sts to answer the questions. Asks sts to read out. Check up vocabulary. Asks sts to go to the board and match the weather with the seasons in the suitable. T. draws a table with words in the lesson. - Divides class into two teams. One team is Noughts(O) and the other is Crosses(X). - Two teams choose the words in th eboxes in turns. Then use the adverb of frequence.
