A. the weather and seasons (A1,2, P.134,135) I.Objectives: - After the lesson, Ss can - describe and ask and answer about the weather in seasons. *Knowledge: Activities and seasons *Vocabulary: Hot, cold, warm, cold, summer, winter, spring, fall/ autumn. *Grammar / Structures: What’s the weather like in the (season) ? 2. Skills: Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing. 3. Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder. II. PREPARATION: 1. Teacher: lesson plan, pictures, word cards, a stereo, CD 2. Students: review the old lesson, preview vocabularies III. METHOD. Pelmanism, ROR, IV. PROCEDURE: 1. Organization (1’) T asks ss to go to the BB write the new words. T corrects the mistakes and gives marks. Class 6B ……………… 6D ……………… 6E ……………… 2. Old lesson 3. New lesson Sts and T’s activities Time Contents 1. warm up. Sts play a game: slap the board T. put the words on the board. - Divides class into two teams. ( 4 sts each) to the front of the class standing at an equal distance from the black board. - call out one of the words in Vietnamese . - Two sts must run forwards and slap the correct word. The st who slaps first is the winner. - Go on with the next two sts. 2. Presentation T. uses pictures about the seasons in a year and elicit words from sts. Ex: T. hangs the pictures on the board and say: It’s hot Sts read out. And guess the meaning of word: It’s summer. T. asks sts to read out. Then rub out and remember. T. shows the pictures and asks sts to answer the questions. Asks sts to read out. Check up vocabulary. Asks sts to go to the board and match the weather with the seasons in the suitable. Call some pairs to practice before class. 3. practice Asks sts to look at the pictures in A1 P 134 and practice ask and answer “yes/ no questions” work in pairs. 4. Free practice - Sts work in groups to ask and answer about the weather . - Calls a st in each group to the board and retell the seasons and the weather what his friends like. * Play a game: Noughts and crosses. T. draws a table with words in the lesson. - Divides class into two teams. One team is Noughts(O) and the other is Crosses(X). - Two teams choose the words in th eboxes in turns. Then use the adverb of frequence.
