Mô tả: Period 10th UNIT 2: SCHOOL LESSON 1(1): New words, Listening, Conservation Skill (Page 14) Time: 45 minutes Class Date of teaching Absent students 6A2 6A4 6A5 I. THE AIMS OF THE LESSON. 1. Knowledge : By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Talk about school subjects they like or don’t like. - Use some sentences / phrases to pass turn to someone after finishing speaking. - Listen for gist and details about school subjects. 2. Ability: - Students can practice: + Raise motivations and interests in learning English as a foreign language; - Students form and develop competencies: the ability to: + Develop communicative and team-working skills through learning activities; 3. Quality: - Students have illustrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through learning activities; - Students' qualities are helped to develop such as: Establish responsive and independent characteristics to be a life-long learner. II. TEACHING EQUIPMENT AND LEARNING MATERIALS. - Teacher : the lesson plan, textbooks, teaching aids such as personal computers, projectors, speakers… - Students : textbooks, notebooks, studying tools, … ready for the lesson. III. TEACHING PROCESS. 1. Activity1: Warm up: (6 minutes):(Game : CROSSWORD) a) Objective: - Help students review using: vocabulary items about school subjects to identify, understand the situation of the new lesson. b) Content:vocabularies about school subjects. c) Products: Students know how to finish the crossword as quickly as possible. d) Organization of implementation: Teacher's activities Students' activities - Game : CROSSWORD - T divides class into 6 groups, each group has to finish the crossword as quickly as possible. - Explain the rules of the game - Design the game “crossword Puzzle” with words and pictures about what Ss study at school - Let Ss play the game, encourage Ss to guess the key word - If any S can give the correct key word, T hasn’t confirmed yet, the game will be continued until the keyword is opened (to check whether his/her answer is correct or not and to let other Ss take part in the game eagerly) - Give a small gift to the Ss who is the fastest to give the correct key word - Give feedback and lead to the new lesson Groupworks - Take part in the game by answer the questions in horizontal line (not in order) and try to guess keyword in the vertical column 2. Activity 2: New words (10 minutes) a) Objective: Help students to use vocabularies what they like and what they don’t like about school and your favorite subjects. b) Content:vocabulary items about school subjects. c) Products: Students know how to use vocabularies what they like and what they don’t like about school and your favorite subjects. d) Organization of implementation: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities *Teaching new words. Have students look at the lesson aims as you read them aloud. Have students look at the examples from the Useful Language box.
