Mô tả: Date of preparation : 19/ 9/ 2017 Period: 15th UNIT 3: AT HOME Lesson 3: Section B – Hoa’s family (1- 3) I.Objectives: By the end of this period, ss will be able to read a text for main ideas, details and job vocabulary and talk about occupations. 1.Language contents: * Vocabulary: grow, raise cattle, journalist, take care of sick. , a newspaper * Grammar: Simple present tense. 2.Skills: reading, speaking, writing 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids: Flipcharts, sub-board, realia. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III. Techniques: Question - answer, pair work, group works, match. IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teching: Class 7A: 26/ 9/ 2017 7D, B: 27/ 9/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warming up T: Ask ss some questions and guide ss to know about the place of jobs. Ss: Listen and answer. Step 2.Presentation - From warming up, set situation and ask Ss to match these half – sentences. Ss: Listen and try to do. - Speak aloud before class. T: Listen and correct mistakes. - Show the picture and set situation part 1 T: elicit new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in groups. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning. Copy down T: clean the words in English. Ss:read and rewrite them on the BB. Step 3.Practice T: Ask ss to practice dialogue in pairs. Ss: Read aloud before class. T: Listen and correct pronunciation.. T: Ask ss to read in silent th dialogue again and answer the questions in pairs . _ Practice before class. Ss: Listen and do as requested. T: Control class doing . 4.Consolidation(2’) T: Remark all period and check their understanding again. Listen and try to do. * Ask and answer(5’) - I am a teacher. - We are students. - a teacher :→ teach at school - a farmer : → raise cattle / grow vegetables - a doctor: → take of sick / work in hospital. - a journalist: → write a newspaper. 3. Match these half-sentences:(4’) A farmer ● ● writes for a newspaper. A doctor ● ● works on a farm. A journalist ● ● teaches in a school. A teacher ● ● takes care of sick people. 1. Listen . Then practice with a partner: * Setting the scene:(3’) How many people are there in Hoa’s family? What does her father do? What does her mother do?
