PERSONAL HYGIENE ( A4 + Remember ) I.Objectives : By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to write a letter and practice in pronunciation of ED – ending. 1.Language contents : * Vocabulary: polish, change, drink, get … * Grammar : The past simple tense. 2.Skills: Listening, reading, writing 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids : Lesson plan, text book, poster, picture, flashcards. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbookreview the old lesson, preview vocabularies III.Techniques: Rub Out and Remember, Word cue drill, Open prediction IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: 7A,7B: 22/1/2018 7D:24/ 1/ 2018 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes Teacher and Ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warm -up Ask Ss to work in pairs to pracitce asking and answering about everyday activities. - Call some pairs to practice in front of the class. -Check if necessary. - Let Ss think of the regular verbs that they’ve learnt. - Ask Ss to go to the board and write the past form of regular verbs - Ask Ss to put the verbs (they get from brainstorming) into three groups according to the pronunciation of the ED-ending - Ask Ss to copy down into their notebooks. Step 2.Presentation - Ask Ss some questions to recall them Hoa’s mom’s letter. - Introduce the situation with a reference to the letter at the beginning of the letter Ss: Listen and notice what was written in the letter. Step 3.Practice - Have Ss read through the letter to catch the over all meaning. - Ask Ss to read Hoa’s letter and complete it with suitable words - Have Ss word in pairs to complete the letter Hoa writes to her mom. - Have some Ss read the letter in front of the class - Give feedback. Step 4.Production - Ask Ss to cpy the past form of some new verbs Ss: Do as dirrected 4.Consolidation:(1’) 1. Pair work(5’) + What time do you get up ? + What do you do at 7 o’clock ? + Do you often go to school at 7.15 ? 2. Brainstorming(9’) visited Note: Pronunciation of ED-ending * ED is pronounced /id/ after the sounds /t/ and /d/ * ED is pronounced / t / after unvoiced sounds (except /t/ ): / p /, / k /, /  /, / s / , / f/ * ED is pronounced / d / after voiced sounds (except / d / ) Ex: / id / / t / / d / visited decided wanted brushed washed missed Changed Combed ironed 1. Recalling(9’) a. Did Hoa receive a letter from her mom? (Yes, she did) b. Will her mom visit her before the harvest? ( No, she won’t. She’ll visit after the harvest) c. Can Hoa take care of her self now? (Yes, She can.) d. Does she still up late? ( No. Now she gets up early.) e. Does Hoa’s mom want her to write to her mom soon? ( Yes, she does.) 2.
