Lesson 1 : A1-2 I.AIMS: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about Phong’s school, Thu’s school and their school (size, position) 1.Knowledge: • Vocabulary: big>< big (adj) (realia)  in the country (example)  in the city (example) - elicits - models twice - has Ss repeat - writes on the board ACT 2. Checking up: “ROR” (5’) * Grammar: Introduce about possessive pronoun: ‘s - It is used to express possession (proper noun) Modal sentences: + This is Phong’s school + This is Thu’s school - Ask Ss to give some more examples Step 3 . PRACTICE ACT. 1 Listen and read (5’) - Asks the S to listen to the tape of ex 1 on the page 44 in the book. - Gets the S to repeat the content of the text in chorus. - Calls on some s to read again one by one. - Corrects their way of pronunciation. - Asks the S to do exercise 2 on the page 44. - Asks Ss to ask and answer the questions in pairs. ACT. 2 Questions (5’)  S1: Is Phong’s school small?  S2: Yes, it is  S1: Is Thu’s school small?  S2: No, it isn’t  S1: Where is Phong’s school  S2: It is in the country.  S1: Is Thu’s school in the country?  S: No, it isn’t. ACT. 3 Grid (7’) - Hang on an extra board and ask the S to fill in the blanks with the following information. PRODUCTION (10’) - Calls on some S to introduce about their school in front of the class. - Remarks and corrects their pronunciations. - Look at the pictures and remark about the sizes of school. - answer - listen and repeat - copy onto notebook - go to the Bb to rewrite new words - Give some examples. - Listen to the tape and repeat in chorus. - Read individually. - Do exercise 2 - Ask and answer. - Copy in the notebooks - Go to the board and fill in the table. - Copy - Introduce about Hai Truong school -Students answer .
