PERSONAL INFORMATION Lesson 3: Section A – Telephone numbers (6,7) I.Objectives : By the end of this period,ss will be able to know the way talk on the phone and know how to use “will” future positive statements and wh-questions to talk about sure events. 1.Language contents: * Grammar : - Future tense : S + will + V * Vocabulary: tomorrow, don’t be late. 2.Skill: reading, speaking, listening 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids: Book, color chalk , and sub-board 1.Teacher: Englishbook, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, work book III. Techniques: Practice in pairs, chatting. IV. Procedures: 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7B: 12/ 9/ 2017 7D: 13/ 9/ 2017 7A: 14/ 9/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words T corrects the mistakes Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1. Warm up: chatting - Ask Ss some questions about telephone. Ss: Listen and try to answer. Step 2.Presentation: T: use the picture of A 4 to ask some questions. Ss: answer them. - Read aloud the dialogue once and elicit new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in groups. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning. Copy down. - Let Ss listen to the tape. Ss:listen and read in groups - Ask Ss to practice reading . Ss: Listen carefully, copy down and practice. Step 3.Practice: - run through the cues. Model the first cues. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus, in groups. Do the rest . - Read the dialogue again and ask Ss to practice in pairs. - Practice ‘ answer ’ the questions Ss: Listen and do as requested Step 4.Pre-listening(3’) T: Set situation and guide ss to do the task. Ss: Listen carefully. Step 5.While-listening:(6’) T: Read tape-transcription 3 times Ss: Listen and try to write. Step 6. Post-listening:(4’) T: Ask some ss to write on the board then teacher read sentence by sentence in order to correct their mistakes ( use sub-board ) Ss: Look and correct mistakes again. 4.Consolidation:(1’) T: Remark all period then give some telephone number and ask ss read aloud before class. Ss: Look and read. • Chatting:(4’) 1.Do you often talk on the phone ? 2. What contents do you often talk ? • Setting the scene: How many people are there in this picture ? Who are they ? What are they doing ? A4. Listen and read.
