BACK TO SCHOOL Lesson 5: Section B– Name and Addresses (6,R) I- Objectives : By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to listen and practice structure “ How far……..?” 1.Language contents: *Grammar : - “ How far…from…to…? - About…..meter/kilometer. 2.Skill: Listening, reading 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II- Teaching aids: Book, color chalk , and sub-board 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III.Method: pair work, “ finding friend”. IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7B: 30/ 8/ 2017 7D: 6/ 9/ 2017 7A: 7/ 9/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words T corrects the mistakes Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warm up -Divide the class into two teams. Presentive of each team choose a number and one of the members of the team answers. The team that has more marks is a winner. Step 2.Pre-listening - Ask a question. Ss: answer it. T: elicit the new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus, individual. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning and copy down. T: Set situation and ask ss look at the picture to guess some spots first. - Review structure on the board. Ss: Listen and look up. - Ask ss to guess the distance Step 3. While- listening:(8’) T: Have ss listen to teacher reading the tape-transcription ( 3 times) Ss: listen and check the predictions. - Ask ss to write Ss: Listen and do as requested. T: Control whole class. Step 4.Post-listening:(6’) - Read dialogue again and ask ss to write on the board. Then hang on the sub-board Ss: Listen carefully and write. Then check mistakes. 4.
