Knowledge. - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to talk about food from around the world. 2. Ability: - Know more about foreign food - Students can practice talking about food from around the world. - Students form and develop competencies:Possibility of cooperation,self study, ability to communicate and cooperate 3. Quality: - Having love with food - Developing communication skills and creativity - Demonstrating teamwork skills II. TEACHING EQUIPMENT AND LEARNING MATERIALS. - Teacher’s preparation: Lesson plan, PPT slides, student’s book, workbook, notebook, personal computer (if any), projector/TV, speakers, DCR & DHA on EDUHOME, … - Students’ preperation: Student’s book, notebook, workbook, schoolthings... III. TEACHING PROCESS. 1. Activity 1: Warm up-Chatting: (6 minutes) a) Objective: -Check students ‘ homework. b) Content:Student give the information they have prepared about cheeseburger,kebab,paella (may be in Vietnamese) c) Products: Students know well about 3 foreign dishes d) Organization of implementation: Teacher's activities Students' activities *Chatting:Teacher shows the pictures of 3 dishes in turn kebab cheeseburger paella -Get ss read aloud the names of the dishes(in chorus,individually) -Ask ss to give the information they have prepared at home -Give accurate information about the dishes, feedback What do you know about: kebab, cheeseburger and paella in Vietnamese ? Have you ever tried any of them? Kebab:A popular dish in Middle East,South Asia…,it ia a dish of pieces of meat,fish or vegetables roasted or grilled on a skewer or spit Cheeseburger:is a hamburger with a slice of cheese on it Paella:is Spain’s most popular rice and the ion of its cuisine.it is made with rice,saffron, vegetables,hicken and seafood. *Lead –in:Teacher leads the new lesson. -Have a look -Read in chorus,individually -Give information 2. Set the scene: You are going to listen to a man talking about popular food from around the world.Who is the speaker? -Teacher runs through the given choices -Have students listen for the first time, circle/choose the correct answer. - Have students listen for the second time ,give the reasons (key words) -Have students listen for the third time to check the answer. Ability: - Students can practice reading and speaking skills about food in Viet Nam and around the world - Students form and develop competences: cooperation, communication, self-study and creative ability. 3. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + make notes about the dishes from their country. + write a paragraph of between 50 and 60 words about their choice. * Grammar: The present simple. 2. Ability: - Students can practice speaking and writing skills. - Students form and develop competences: cooperation, communication, self-study, creative ability, collaboration, individualwork, and pairwork. 3. Quality: - Students love our country more and have more knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine. - Students' qualities are helped to develop such as: Patriot, hard work, responsibility - Ss will be aware of their health.
