Mô tả: Date of preparation : 24/ 10/ 2017 Period: 31st Unit6 : AFTER SCHOOL Lesson 1 : Section A- WHAT DO YOU DO ? ( A1 ) I. Objectives : At the end of this period, Ss will be able to read a dialogue about after school activities and getting further practice in the present progressive. 1.Language contents: * Grammar: - simple present tense and present progressive tense. * Vocabulary: (to) practice, (to) invite, (to) enjoy, together 2.Skills: Listening, reading 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II. Teaching aids: Color chalk, pictures and sub-board. 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III.Techniques: pair work, group work, networks, jumbled words, noughts and crosses IV.Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7A,B: 2/ 11/ 2017 7D: 3/ 11/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1. Warming up T & Ss ask and answer some questions. Step 2.Pre-reading T: ask some questions. Ss: answer them T: elicit new words. Model them. Ss: listen and repeat in chorus and in groups. T: write them on the BB. Ss: Give meaning. Copy down T: ask ss to arrange the words that they are meaningful. T: tell ss to give as many words about activities after school as possible. Step 3.While- reading T: ask ss to read the dialogue and check the networks. T: ask ss to read the dialogue again to answer the questions. Ss: work in groups. T: give feedback and correct if necessary. Step 4.Post- reading T: run through the cues. Ask ss to play “ noughts and crosses” Ss: choose the number and make the questions and answer them with the present progressive tense. 4.Consolidation:(2’) * Chatting(5’) * What do you do after school? 1.Do you like sports? 2. Which sport do you often play ? 3. When do you often play sport? 4. Who often play with you? A1. Listen. Then practice with a partner: * Setting the scene:(3’) Who’s this? What’s she doing? 1.
