Mô tả: Date of preparation : 19/ 10/ 2017 Period: 28th Unit 5: WORK AND PLAY Lesson 3: Section A- IN CLASS ( A4 + A5) I.Objectives:By the end of this period, ss will be able to continue to know more about subjects in school 1. Language contents: * Grammar: - simple present tense. * Vocabulary: period, instead, essay, present, event, author, painting, temperature. 2.Skill: reading, writing, listening, 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids: Color chalk, picture and sub-board. 1.Teacher: English book 2.Students: Book, Workbook III.Techniques: Ask and answer, pair work, group work , matching IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? + Date of teaching: Class 7A,B: 26/ 10/ 2017 7D: 27/ 10/ 2017 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words, newstructures and do exercises T corrects the mistakes *Steps: Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step 1.Warming up - Show 5 pictures on page 54 to the students - Have them to write the subject under each picture - give feedback and correct Step 2. Pre-listening - Show the picture and set the scene: They are Ba and Hoa. They go to school on Saturday morning. All of you try to guess what subjects Ba and Hoa have on Saturday morning. - Ask Ss to write the correct letters next to their name. Ss: Listen and try to answer - Give feedback - Elicit some new words - Model them Ss: Listen, observe , guess the meaning, then practice reading as the teacher says Step 3.While-listening T: read transcription 3 times - Write the correct letters - Check cross first then write on the board. Ss: Listen and try to do Step 4. Post-listening T: Control and give correct answer ( use sub-board ) Ss: Look and correct mistakes. * Practice reading T: Introduce the text and give out the meaning some of new words. - Practice reading in chorus and independent . Ss: Listen carefully and practice. T: Guide Ss to do this part and let Ss practice in group - Give the correct answer Ss: Listen and try to do T: Control and help ss to do then give the keys 4.Consolidation(2’) T: Remark all period aloud. Ss: Listen carefully. * Matching(5’) => Keys : a.Geography b. Physical education c. Computer Science d. Physics e. English / Literature A4. Listen. Then write the correct letters next to the names:(6’) a. New words:(3’) - period = class - instead: ( translation ) * TapeTranscription:(7’) On Friday morning, Ba and Hoa go to school. Some of the subjects they do on Saturday are the same, but some of them are different. At 7 o’clock Ba has Technology and Hoa has Computer Science. These classes last for 2 periods. At 8.40 Ba has Geography. Hoa doesn’t have Geography on Saturday. She has Physical Education instead. In the last period, they have the same class. Ba and Hoa both have class activities them. b.
