Aim: At the end of this period, Ss will be able to read a text for details and revise the simple present tense and comparisons,a lot of , many. 1.Language contents : * Vocabulary : different, unhappy,(to ) miss. * Grammar: - The simple present. - Comparisons. 2.Skills: reading comprehention 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English . Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder II.Teaching aids : Flipcharts, picture 1.Teacher: English book, lesson plan 2.Students: Book, workbook III. Method : Words square, rub out and remember, true or false, pair works IV. Procedures : 1.Organization:(2’) + Who’s absent today? - Absent students: Nobody + What the date? + How are you today? - Class 7B - Date of teaching: 23/8/2016 - Class 7A,D - Date of teaching: 24/8/2016 2.Checking the old lesson: (3’) T asks SS to go to the board and write the new words T corrects the mistakes *Steps: Teacher & ss’ activities Contents Step1. Warm up - Stick the poster on the board - Ask Ss to find out 13 words in the word square - Divide the class into 2 teams, Ss from each team go to the board and circle the words they have found, then write them down in the column of their team. The team which has more right words will win the game. *Read - Show the picture and present the situation of the text. - Give some questions about Hoa. Step2.Pre-reading - Present some new words and practice them. Ss :copy down ,repeat in chorus and independence - Rub out and ask Ss to remember and write out. - Ask Ss to guess True or False without the book. Ss : try to do Step3. While-reading :(7’) - Ask Ss to open the book Ss: read the text and check their predictions. - Have Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the questions. Ss: do as requested Step4.Post-reading:(6’) - Have Ss rewrite the short paragraph by changing “Hoa“ to “I” Ss: Try to write in group of 4 ss . 4. Consolidation:(2’) T: Remark all period aloud Ss: Listen carefully. * Word square :(5’) • -> school , big,uncle, easy, old, new. • Sea. • <- parent • Aunt , friend • Student, happy, near. A2.Read . Then answer the questions(3’) from ? Hoa staying? a lot of friends? old school & new school? happy/unhappy/ why? a) Vocabulary :(3’) - different (from) (adj) (example ) - unhappy (adj) ( antonym) # happy - (to) miss ( synonym ) - still (trans.) • Checking vocabulary :(4’) Rub out and remember b)True or false statement prediction :(4’) -Hoa is from Hue. -She lives with her parents in Hanoi. -She has a lot of friends in Hanoi. -She misses her friends in Hue. -She is happy now. a) Checking predictions : T F F T F b) Comprehension questions : A 2(6’) a.
